I am an engineer and adventurer based in san Francisco, usa. I believe that the future lies in the confluence of beautiful engineering and functional design.
Let’s create the future together.
Born in Auckland, New Zealand to two hard-working parents who immigrated to NZ from Taiwan, I have had the fortune of experiencing a wide range of cultures and philosophies at a young age. My parents fostered in me a love for science and engineering through the various lego sets I was given and the many after-school programs they enrolled me in. This combined with my father having studied marine engineering at university led me very naturally into becoming an engineer. I studied STEM subjects at Auckland Boys Grammar and became a prefect, I then completed an honors degree (BEHons) in Mechatronics Engineering at the University of Auckland.
Being raised in New Zealand where adventuring itself could be considered a subject in school, I was also naturally drawn to the outdoors, participating in high school rowing before then switching to snowboarding/ski-touring, surfing, and climbing/mountaineering as I entered university. I now pursue these three sports as my ‘longevity sports’ and don’t plan on stopping anytime soon.
I pride myself on my project work and my adventures, I have an innate curiosity about the world and love to understand systems and how things work. Feel free to check out my projects under the ‘PROJECTS’ tab and my adventures under the ‘ADVENTURES’ tab.
